The Puskás Aréna opened on 15 November 2019 on the site of the old Ferenc Puskás Stadion (demolished in 2017). It's named after Ferenc Puskás – the legendary Hungarian forward who won three European Cups with Real Madrid and is still debated as one of the greatest strikers ever. 🇭🇺

Approximately 20,000 square metres of stainless steel wire mesh wraps the exterior. Architects preserved the brick walls of the original stadium at the main entrance – a beautiful nod to history.

Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport (BUD) is 25km southeast of the city centre.
